Beer Bread- A delicious quick bread that requires just 4 ingredients! Serve it as a side or with your favorite creamy dip. It goes great with just about anything you are serving or by itself.
Soooo long ago, I went to my sister in law's house for a birthday party. She served up beer bread that was cut into chunks and served with a creamy spinach dip. It was dee-vine.
Fast forward several years and I am still making it. Not just to go with a dip, but, simply by itself as a side to dinner. It is still just as good and simple as ever.
Now, you can buy a package of mix to make beer bread...don't waste your money on it! This bread is so simple, you won't need it.

Beer Bread
Ingredients
- 3 cups self rising flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 12 oz beer ( or any carbonated beverage)
- 2 TBSP butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 8-9 inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and sugar. Add in beer and mix to fully combine. Don't overmix your batter! Your batter will be thick.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. For the last 2-3 minutes of baking, remove the loaf from the oven and brush the top with melted butter. Then, return it to the oven to finish up baking.
- Let the loaf cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
